Our Approach

Neurodivergent parenting is one of the most demanding — and least supported — experiences out there. Parent coaching at Elevated Wellbeing OT meets you exactly where you are, with clinical depth, honest conversation, and no judgment.

You're in the right place if:

You're parenting a neurodivergent child

Your child has ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, or another neurodivergent profile — and you're trying to understand how to genuinely support them without depleting yourself in the process.

You suspect you might be neurodivergent yourself

You're noticing patterns in yourself — around sensory sensitivity, executive function, emotional regulation — and starting to wonder how that intersects with your parenting experience.

You're a neurodivergent parent

You're neurodivergent and you're a parent — and those two things don't exist separately. If you're managing your own ADHD, autism, sensory differences, or executive function challenges while also raising kids, this support was built with you in mind. For parents of young children through young adults.

You're feeling depleted, reactive, or stuck

The dysregulation, the meltdowns, the constant cognitive load — it's getting to you. You want to show up differently but don't have the tools, the language, or enough support to get there.

This service is offered both virtually and in person.

Understanding the difference

Coaching versus occupational therapy

Occupational Therapy

OT is a licensed, regulated healthcare service that evaluates and addresses functional challenges tied to a specific diagnosis or clinical concern. It involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, and goal-directed intervention — and it falls within the scope of medical practice.

OT provided by Elevated Wellbeing OT is conducted within a therapeutic, licensed framework and may address sensory processing, executive function, daily living skills, and other areas of occupational performance for evaluated clients.

OT services are potentially reimbursable through insurance depending on your plan, diagnosis, and the specific services provided.

Parent Coaching

Parent coaching is an educational, consultative service. It is not occupational therapy, does not involve clinical assessment or diagnosis, and does not establish a therapeutic relationship.

It is a space to build understanding, develop strategies, gain tools, and receive support from a clinician with deep expertise in neurodivergence — without the structure of formal treatment.

Because it is a coaching service and not a clinical one, parent coaching is not reimbursable through insurance. Sessions are provided on a private-pay basis.

What we work on together

Three lenses.
One whole picture.

Every coaching session is shaped by what you bring. Over time, the work tends to move across three interconnected areas.

Understanding Your Child

Build a genuine, working understanding of your child's neurological profile — how they process sensory information, how their executive function works, what drives their behavior, and what they actually need from you in the hard moments.

Practical Strategies That Fit

Leave each session with something you can actually use — tools, language, routines, and approaches that are tailored to your family's reality, not a generic parenting playbook. We account for your capacity, not just your child's needs.

You as the Foundation

Your nervous system matters as much as your child's. We explore how your own sensory profile, executive function, and regulation patterns show up in your parenting — so you can respond from a grounded place rather than react from a depleted one.

The piece most coaching skips

You are not separate
from the work.

Most parenting support focuses entirely on the child — their behavior, their needs, their strategies. And yes, that matters deeply. But there's a piece that almost always gets left out: you.

Your sensory system is either regulated or it isn't when your child has a meltdown. Your executive function is either available or depleted when you need to problem-solve in real time. Your own neurological wiring shapes every interaction you have with your kids — whether you're aware of it or not.

Parent coaching at Elevated Wellbeing OT brings that lens into the room. With Dr. Sarah's background in occupational therapy and sensory processing, coaching sessions can explore how your own sensory processing patterns and executive function profile intersect with the demands of neurodivergent parenting — and what it looks like to build capacity from the inside out.

This isn't self-blame. It's self-awareness. And it's one of the most powerful things you can bring to your kids.

Sensory Processing Awareness

Understanding your own sensory thresholds — what activates you, what depletes you, what helps you stay regulated — and how that shows up in your parenting environment.

Executive Function + Capacity

Exploring your working memory, task-switching, planning, and emotional regulation — and building strategies that account for your own neurological reality alongside your child's.

Nervous System Regulation

Building awareness of your own dysregulation patterns, your early signals, and what tools actually help you return to a place where thoughtful parenting is possible.

Co-Regulation as a Skill

Learning how to show up as a regulated presence for your child — because co-regulation starts with you, not with them.

What's included

More than a session.
A whole system.

Every parent coaching client receives access to a growing library of resources built specifically to support the work between sessions.

1:1 Sessions with Dr. Sarah

Each session is tailored to where you are right now — no agenda forced on you, no one-size-fits-all framework. Just honest, clinically-informed coaching from someone who genuinely understands the neurodivergent parenting experience.

Pre-Recorded Course Content

Access to an online course library — supplemental video content on sensory processing, executive function, nervous system regulation, and neurodivergent parenting — that you can return to at your own pace, between sessions.”

Workbooks + Worksheets

Practical, clinically designed workbooks and worksheets to support reflection, strategy-building, and daily implementation — all housed in the same platform as your course content for easy access.

Trackers + Tools

Tracking tools to help you notice patterns — in your child's behavior, in your own nervous system, and in what's working. The library grows every week as new resources are added.

Price per session:

1:1 Coaching — $185/session Each session includes one hour of personalized, neuroaffirming coaching plus everything you need to support your progress between sessions — curated worksheets, printable workbooks, and access to relevant online course modules.

Why $185? This rate is intentional. It's set to reflect the full value of what you're receiving — not just the hour we spend together, but the worksheets, workbooks, and course materials that support you between sessions. It's also designed to create real commitment. When you invest in yourself, you show up differently. You engage more deeply, follow through more consistently, and get more out of the work. That's not an accident — it's the point.

  • To get full/continuous access to all supplemental materials and course content, we ask that you commit to a minimum of six sessions. Here's why that matters: real, lasting change takes time. Six sessions gives us the space to go beyond surface-level strategies and actually build systems, habits, and understanding that stick. You'll get more out of the content because you'll have the coaching context to make it meaningful. That said, if fewer sessions feel right for you, that's absolutely okay — you're always in the driver's seat. You'll have full access to all materials and course content for as long as you're receiving 1:1 sessions with us, whatever that looks like for you.

  • We start where you are Your first session is a real conversation — not a form or an intake. We start with what's most present for you right now and build from there.

  • Go at your own pace Most clients benefit most from 4+ sessions. The sweet spot tends to be around 6 weeks of consistent support — but your pace is your pace. Why session by session? Because neuroaffirming practice means meeting you where you are — not locking you into a structure that doesn't fit your life. Some weeks you need more. Some weeks you need less. This approach respects that.
